This week’s NNI begins with interesting if not shocking news
stories. Did you know that the Red Sea recently turned red? Or that the
chance of sacrificing the Red Heifer for next year’s Passover has just
decreased dramatically? Star gazers are excited about the next planetary
alignment in 2026! Also, there is a bizarre global trend among adults to
help reduce stress. What is this trend? It is sucking a pacifier! Truly, you
cannot make these stories up.
From these light-hearted stories to the serious conditions of our world,
this week’s program brings you up to date on how the world is teetering
between war and peace. The biggest news is the upcoming summit between Trump
and Putin. Is this the beginning of peace between Russia and Ukraine? While
the world prays for peace, the weather is still wreaking havoc across the
globe in places like America, Hong Kong, South Korea, India and Taiwan. It
literally never stops. The earth is being pummeled by disaster after
disaster. While events may simmer down for a time, there is no doubt things
will grow worse. How do we know this? The answer is found in the pages of
your Bible.
Our Nuggets portion of the program ties in with Proverbs 6:6-8 as
we continue our brief series on “lessons from the Great Depression.” This
week’s focus gives insight into the financial aspects of how people were
able to survive one of the hardest times in America.
